Probably the most popular attraction in the area is the theme park of PUY DU FOU where you will step back in time for a truly magical experience. The park is situated about 40 minutes away at Les Epesses.
Staying with theme parks FUTUROSCOPE situated at Poitiers (60 minutes) is described as the intelligent theme park and is one of the most visited attractions in France offering a unique experience for young and old alike. Another great park, only opened in 2010, is TERRA BOTANICA described as the first park to offer interactive encounters with the plant world! You will find Terra Botanica in Angers about 90 minutes away.
Fancy a trip to the Zoo? Then head for BIOPARC at Doue La Fontaine. Here you will find 70 species of animals all in an amazing primeval setting and teeming with exotic vegetation. Established 50 years ago they are totally committed to conservation of endangered species in their own environment.
Getting away from theme parks you will also find many of the Chateaux of the Loire within an easy couple of hours drive and it makes a lovely day out – Brissac Quince; Angers; Saumur; Chinon and not forgetting the beautiful Chateau of Villandry with its magnificent gardens to name but a few – and don’t forget in visiting the Loire there is also the Wine trails and associated “degustation” for those so inclined!
